We all make mistakes. When I first reached voting age, I voted for Carter. Then I voted for him again.
I was a kid, full of peace love and understanding. I realized almost immediately after voting for Jimbo the second time that I had made a mistake, and that I was woefully naive about taxes, politics, international affairs, etc. I had the typical Dem mindset about halfway thru college. Voted for Reagan his second term, and never looked back.
I am hopeful that many of today's kids that vote for the pol that sounds like he/she cares the most (the way Slick Willie got elected, with a big assist from Perot) will also come around when they grow up and have responsibilities.
