Drinking Liberally, a group of liberals who like to drink, will have its initial “meeting” at Salty Mike’s, at the City Marina (17 Lockwood Drive) on April 21, from 5-7 p.m. The group will convene every first and third Thursday thereafter, said Lane Hudson, one of the organizers.
Begun two years ago in New York City, Drinking Liberally now boasts more than 60, er, chapters from coast to coast.
“This is a pressure-free zone for those who like to have a few drinks or no drinks at all,” said Hudson, a local realtor. “There’s no politics, no soliciting of funds or phone numbers, no guilt trip.”
