Either way, no harm done to FR except for Kristinn spending time with them for two interviews. The more interesting development is that Free Republic is mentioned in the movie and movie trailer and will make others aware of us. Being labeled a right-wing site doesn't bother me. I'd much rather attract new people who will come and take a look and stay around. I'll bet many conservatives who visit us will become members.

Their manager tried to blame Freepers tonight on H&C, Sean ripped into him and defended our right to speak out just as Natalie spoke out..

Their manager was devoid of all logic ..first he claimed London was not "foreign soil", then he couldn't grasp the fact that if the Dixie Chicks were entitled to say what they liked to their audience then Hannity had the same right to say what he liked to his.

He also asserted that radio stations had an obligation to play the Dixie Chicks music because the airwaves were a "public resource"....Duh!

The moron also admitted that their sales plummeted 20% ( so it was probably more) as a result of their comments.

O.K. Even though there are advantages to taking (undeserved) credit as the bane of the Chix, let's assume we're gonna be honest and upfront about our role, that we were just commenting as individual users, just like users were doing at the same time on hundreds of other websites; nothing special.

If Nightline does play up the FR angle, and especially if they include Maines/Moonbat angles like the mythical "mass mailing," shouldn't we (or do we?) have some kind of formal statement on the home page? For instance this post by Jim?

It could make an impact with a percentage of the curious, e.g.; "Ah, so there's nothing to it. The Left/MSM lied to me again."
