Oh? It was my understanding that the cost is the lowest unit rate which would be stable.
What did Santorum do?? I thought he was one of the strongest conservatives north of the Mason-Dixon line and east of the midwest??
The RNC isn't relying on media polls. They have their own internal polls which are much more accurate. If the RNC polls show Dewine down, he is down.
But I would agree, turnout is important and the need to get people to the polls, whether for a miracle DeWine win or to save house seats, is paramount.
Brilliant strategy of yours that will give us my former Congressman, Sherrod Brown. Just brilliant! Voting to lose.
Couldn't happened to a better fellow .....
Now, if they'ed only cut off Chaffee's funding.
And why the h*ll did they fund Spectre's rantings over HIS conservative oppenent in the primary??
He is liberal RINO - fights actively the repubbie agenda, and promtes his opposition to it on the news shows.
According to his voting record, he's not. Try looking it up.
The most important thing in Ohio or any other state is the Get Out the Vote campaign, even more important than political ads.
I have a rather silly, childish confession to make. :-) Sherrod Brown used to be my Congressman. The district started right at the bottom of my street. My old district went from 30 miles east of Cleveland to Lorain, which was absolutely ridiculous. After the last census, my district was redrawn by the GOP legislature and approved by the court. My county (all of it) is now in one district, which it should have always been. Well, right at the bottom of the street (where my old district used to start) there was Sherrod Brown for U.S. Senate sign on public property. You have to stop at the end of the street, so the sign is staring right in your face. I thought to myself, "This is my street, I'm not going to stare at this sign every time I stop at the end of my street." So, I took the sign down and put it in the garbage. I did it a second time this evening. Sorry, childish, I know, but after all I went through trying to get the representation I wanted, I just can't take having Sherrod Brown as my representative again.
Mara Liason says that they went to NJ to test ads. It is one of those places that has split media markets and is very expensive. What do you think they should run in Phili, Ny area? How about TAXMAN?
1. Democrats being put in charge of things.
2. Too many people in our party will decide that the GOP lost because it was "too conservative." That is something we are going to hear ad nauseam. We'll hear it from Rove, the RNC, the ORP, the NRCC, the NRSC, all the way down to the grassroots.
These guys cannot admit their own mistakes. They cannot admit that raising taxes in Ohio led to a bad economy, which contributed to Taft's low approval ratings. They cannot admit that DeWine hurt himself with ANWR, anti-gun, and Gang of 14 with the base.
THey canot admit that the insider dealings and catering to liberal special interests led to their undoing.
No, they will conclude that Ken Blackwell turned people off with his Biblical references and his principled stand on taxes, guns, homosexual rights, and abortion. They would rather believe that DeWine's support for Bush tax cuts was his undoing.
The political operatives in Washington and Columbus do not understand regular people.
Rove *might* be the only person who gets it when he sees the results and if turnout is down in GOP strongholds. But if this elections turns out to be a downer, people will stop listening to him anyway.
You shouldn't move yard signs.
What you should do is put a DeWine sign in front of it :^)
Do you know something the RNC does not?
LOL. There are a couple Dem homes on my street with a yard sign that says, "Had enough? Vote Democrat" I won't touch those, because they're on private property. :-)
No I do not but at the same time I do not understand your question.
I am hopeful that the southern part of the state will come out and vote for DeWine and help carry some of the other parts of the state.
Indeed.
That said I don't think the GOP has written it off a all. DeWine has the money, and the ground game will be up.
But the Republicans in Ohio have screwed the voters that faithfully put them back in ofice one too many times. Taft, DeWine, Voinovich, coin scandel etc..unfortunately Blackwell i seeking ofice in that climate.
DeWine's unforgiveable choice was joining McCain to block ending the filibusters. I said I wouldn't campaign for his defeat anymore, I'll reserve it for Chafee and his "cousin" in a certain Garden State but i'm not going to cheer if he wins and I won't cry if he loses.
YEAH! THAT'S THE SPIRIT YOU MORON! VOTE OUT DEWINE, PUT BROWN IN OFFICE! WHO KNOWS? MAYBE KUCHINICH CAN REPLACE VOINOVICH!
You idiots ever think about the ramifications of your actions?
If you would bother to look up voting records, you would find that the ACU rates DeWine around 80% and Sherrod Brown around 8% (worse then Dennis Kucinich). Now, that's a winning strategy. Vote to lose.
