That picture you saw of the 747, that is just a artist rendition of the 747, I doubt that the 747-8I wings will have that much wing flex.

Don't be so sure.

With that much flex in a 446 I can see an 8 being exactly what's in the redition.

Plus, I don't think Boeing would have released that drawing were it not accurate.

That's what I read on ( Airliners.net ) by a few people.
But, then again, you'll be amazed how much they flexed ( Flex test ) when they tested the 747... I think they were able to flex it 27 feet before it broke.
