This speaks volumes about the Muslim psyche. They have absolutely no confidence in their self-control. They want to hide from food so they won't be tempted by food. They want to hide from women. They want to hide from other religions. They want to hide from other cultures. They know when Muslims have a choice, they will not keep Muslim traditions.

That reminds me of an excellent quote from the movie "Kingdom of Heaven"......I think it sums up the differences between Islam and Christianity in a single, succinct thought.
