AMAZING speech. I don't have any more words to say in support of this invaluable man.
A number of years ago, Santorum provided a magnificent speech at my college graduation. I have yet to hear a better political speech in both content and delivery.
Santorum is a true hero in the dark mixed up world full of villains called the U.S. Senate.

Unbelievably good speech. A man with a command of history and the current issues we face. Santorum is the whole package, smart, articulate, courageous, a man of faith and vision.
Unfortunately, in the world-gone-mad that is American politics, the voters of his state will probably reject him in favor of a no accomplishments, do-nothing yes-man who will be nothing but a puppet, a cog in the 'Rat machine. It is a fate often suffered by those of dignity and courage who are ultimately vindicated by history, but often after it is too late for the people who turned on them.

Just like Churchill, I am afraid that Senator Santorum is destined to be out of power for a season.

I am really close to apoplectic thinking that this mental midget might be my new Senator. What, you object to a male Debbie Stabenow?

Mitch McConnell will be the new Senate Majority Leader. But clearly the Dems want to take out Santorum as "payback" for Tom Daschle.
My personal fantasy is that if Rick loses and the Republicans keep control of the House, they dump Denny Hastert and elect Santorum as Speaker. The Constitution creates the office of the Speaker of the House and the Speaker does not have to be a sitting member of Congress. With Santorum running the House and McConnell running the Senate, there will not be much of a Democrat party left by 2008 and Hillary will not know what hit her.

That's a very good comparison of Casey to Debbie Stabenow. At least we will be rid of Casey in 4 years though, he has no desire to be Senator and will announce for Governor by 2008.

I don't think he will continue in the limelight if he loses. I think he will focus on his family and end the chapter in politics. Remember everyone was touting about John Ashcroft after he lost and he did a quick stint on President Bush's team and then left the limelight. I believe both just got sick of having all this common sense knowledge that nobody listened too. I don't blame them for going into the civilian sector and doing something that would be appreciated. They served their country now it is time for them to spend with family and friends. But not Santorum yet. Goodness that was all hypothetical. Thank God my votes are in (well in the mail going towards America). Go Santorum!!!! A majority of Pennsylvanians think you are great!!!

That's pretty likely. Casey is basically a professional (and perpetual) candidate, and not a very good one at that.
To: Dems_R_Losers
If Santorum is so great, how come he's behind? Someone explain it to a West Coaster, and please forgo the "Well, the poles are wrong" excuse.
Did Rick back G.W. on some kind of illegal immigration proposal or something and "The Brigadiers" are gonna' take it out on him?

Thank you, V. I'm glad to see some people are awake.
