Last I checked, the minutemen, dozens of talk radio hosts, 100 GOP Congressmen in the immigration caucus and led by Tom Tancredo and others had *something* to do with it. Not to mention Sensenbrenner, Cornyn, kyl, Shelby, Sessions, Chambliss, and DeLay. ... all had an input.

First off, you're throwing the baby out with the bath water. I politically don't agree with the CNN news organization overall, but like I said, Lou Dobbs had the border issue on virtually every night for two years. Lou Dobbs covered the border way more than Fox News. Lou Dobbs had the Minutemen on many, many times along with Sensenbrenner and Tom Tancredo and anyone else who supported his pro close the border agenda. Another newscaster I've grown to watch more and more lately who is more more conservative from HNN is Glenn Beck.
