This is typical of leftist. If they can't defeat Conservatives on issues, then they attempt to defeat them by censoring the issues.

Bump. What can be done to expose &/or counter this?
Never underestimate the power of the freeper...opps that was force.
Never underestimate the skepticism of a freeper questioning strange pre-election stories from strange organizations like the NY Times.

This ny times article is false. I've googled several of the names mentioned and the results are normal. Hmmm, sounds like maybe the Google folks don't want the covers pulled back too far and have cleaned up part of their act - for now...
I told you they could fix it at the drop of a hat.

Google no longer "leans". It if full on, flat out, in your face radical Leftist politics 24/7. Google's acquisition of YouTube has made is abundantly clear that Google no longer needs to hide behind a mask of impartiality. It is not a search engine anymore, it is a political entity.
Every holiday such as Labor Day or Easter, there is a thread up here on FR about Google's lack of decoration on it's home page. Earth Day and other filthy hippie days are always marked by some decoration. Somebody here actually has a bunch of screen captures showing the plain logo on the various patriotic and religious days.
So, why is anyone at all surprised by this Drudge story or the fact that there is no announcement that Google itself plans on fixing the listings? Google and their two Leftie punk founders are subverting stupid Kool-Aid people. Avoid Google like the plague it is!

It's a ridiculous plot based on the idiotic premise that people search for candidates on Google, and that they *always* read the first hit rather than select the link that seems interesting to them.
In the world of the nutroots, people are stupid, they mechanically select the first Google link on a page, and they are just too dimwitted to read more than one Google reference.
Connected with this idiocy is that the nutroots wanted to fund an AdWords campaign using the same "Google bombing" technique mentioned in the article. It would be funded by one of their 527's, I suppose (the "advertiser" is charged for a click on an AdWords link).
Which means a concerted group of Republicans could find all of those links and click them to a fare-thee-well, causing the AdWords charges to rapidly exceed the Rats' $$$ account limits (credit card limits).
But who wants to play such sophomoric games, particularly since the entire idea is cracked?

They did do an Easter Egg motif on the logo this year.

I didn't bother clicking to read the rest of the story, because, well it's the NY Slimes and I refuse to read them.
But in the first few paragraphs here the articles states "if" the bloggers are successful. Doesn't state that they've been successful yet. And since you and a couple of others have checked and everything seems normal, they still have a lot of work to do.
I see this as a great opporunity for some Freeping. Surely we know some of the Republicans they are targeting and can do a bit of Google bombing ourselves.
Although, to be competely honest, I have no idea how to do it.

Indeed. And it was precisely these tactics that allowed the National Socialists to rise to power in Germany in the 1930s. The Leftists here understand this and emulate their fascist predecessors well. Hence my tagline. And yes, it does irritate the 'tolerant', 'open-minded' leftists to no end.

Searching Google for Peter King, the Republican congressman from Long Island, would bring up a link to a Newsday article headlined King Endorses Ethnic Profiling. Yeah, and? I endorse ethnic profiling when it results in netting Islamo-facists who aim to blow up things and kill people in this country. Should we be looking at 90 year old grandmothers in wheel chairs who are taking a flight to visit their grandchildren?

I believe that is called "tossing a bone". I was here on
FR early morning 4th of July and it took alot of clamoring before Google finally put something up around noontime.
Sit. Stay. Bark. Rollover. Good Neocon.
Google stinks.

Why should conservatives do this. We endorse freedom of expression for all. The left only wants free speech for themselves. We endorse solid platforms, plans, strategies. The left has none.
All the left has is lies, scare tactics, and idiotic Internet attacks.
