Dodge and Chevy to change models in 2007? UPDATE Impala for Chevy in 2007 COT races: Beginning in 2007, Dodge and Chevrolet will campaign new models in Nextel Cup competition, Yahoo! Sports has learned. Dodge will run the Avenger, while Chevrolet will run the Impala SS, according to sources with some of NASCAR's manufacturers.

What there's no shortage of is full-time teams with strong sponsors. With Toyota essentially adding six fully funded teams to the existing lineup and only 43 starting spots available each week, there are going to be some major teams missing races next year.

Jeff Burton called that situation, "very scary."

"We're going to have more cars than we have spots by a large number," he said. "And all those teams are going to be well-funded and well-equipped, and that's not going to be in the best interest of our sport."LINK to the rest....the story
