More bogus election forms found

Hundreds of bogus address changes have surfaced at the St. Louis County Election Board, which is warning voters to make sure they get a polling-place notification card in the mail next week.

If the card doesn't show up, a voter's address may have been fraudulently changed without their knowledge, said Joseph Goeke, the county's Republican elections director.

Voters who don't get a card can call the election board or bring valid identification and proof of residence to the polls on Nov. 7, Goeke said.

"If you're at the correct polling place for your (correct) address, then you can vote," Goeke said. Advertisement

Board employees don't know exactly how many fraudulent address changes were submitted but estimate the number in the hundreds. And they fear they may not have caught all of them.

The address changes, with a voter's bogus signature, are among questionable or fraudulent voter registration cards turned in within the past couple of months.

The bogus registrations included at least one dead person and dozens of duplicates with false signatures and bogus or missing personal information, Goeke said.

County officials say most of the suspicious registrations and address changes were submitted by the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now, which has mobilized huge voter registration drives across the nation and hired workers at $8 an hour to register new voters in Missouri.

ACORN already is under scrutiny for thousands of suspicious voter registrations submitted in the cities of St. Louis and Kansas City. It has been accused of turning in bogus registrations in other states.

The group's leaders don't set quotas for the workers, but some may have turned in made-up registrations or random address changes to make it appear they were working, said ACORN's national spokesman, Kevin Whelan.

I still have a Talent For Governor bumper sticker on my mailbox! I will always remember the podium-thrashing speech Bond gave when STL stayed open after 7pm. 'Its The MO Democrats...!!!" He was totally loosing it and we were cheering him on!

I was thinking the same thing myself, they should be arrested and convicted. Make it very public and harsh and maybe these idiots will think twice next time.

You mean a Democrat actually prosecuted? You mean like by our (Republican appointed) Attorney General? You must be joking. Where is your "compassionate" conservatism. Democrats have a free pass to commit just about any crime they want. To actually prosecute them and bring them to justice would be mean and divisive. Sheesh!

In San Mateo County California, both local and state election handbooks arrived very late. Absentee ballots only just arrived a couple of business days ago. While locally there is no hope for the GOP (local, state and HoR reps who are Dems will all remain) in the state level races things add up and this is a populous county for its areal extent. Very, very fishy.
