Where is the Reparations issue in this election?

I have heard all the things that are going to happen if the Democrats retake the House of Repesentatives ,but John Conyers pet issue of Reparations for Blacks has not been mentioned once

R leadership is way too afraid.... of everything.

Example, had R leadership come out strongly against Foley, on Day One rather than quibbling about it, we could have been seen as protecting young people against predators, rather than trying to COYA.

Conyers is just plain nuts. If perchance the government would try to use taxpayer funds for "reparations" then I believe there would be a massive taxpayer revolt in this contry and rightfully so.
Conyers is just one of the many reasons that liberals should NEVER be in power in US Government!

If I am paying reparations, I want slaves -- DAMMIT !!!

My family can only trace roots to this country back to 1918. Grandparents escaped the Bolshevik (sp.) revolution to come here. We owned no slaves.

Best of my knowledge, maternal grandmother (now 95 or 96, depending on which story you believe) is last living family member born in the "old country". She can still tell you horror stories of that period.
