I heard a blip on the radio about how the pregnant woman who survived the Amish schoolhouse shootings "had said she believed her fetus saved her from being shot," because the killer had let her go because she was pregnant.
I'm sure she phrased it just like that, too: "You know, I'm pretty sure my fetus saved my life."
Reminds me of the pro-abortion march covered on TV a year or so ago and a grandmother, mother and 13-year-old daughter were there protesting the people who were against abortions. At the time it struck me what a terrible example that mother and grandmother were setting for that impressionable child.
She said her fetus saved her life? Not her 'clump of tissue.' Funny, you just cannot retrain women at some level ( I suppose re-educate is the word to use here).
Sure, that sounds like an Amish locution -- NOT! (Lucky the Amish don't go in for radio/TV, so she didn't have to hear that!)
