Monday, Oct. 23, 2006 10:12 p.m. EDT Michael Savage Backs Jerry Brown

America's most fiery conservative talk show host backing liberal Jerry Brown for California's attorney general?

Yes, it's true.

Michael Savage, the nation's third-most-listened-to radio host (and fourth-most-influential host, according to NewsMax's Top 25 List), confirmed that he recently donated $5,600 – the maximum allowable – to Brown's campaign.

Brown won the Democratic Party nod and is facing Republican State Sen. Chuck Poochigian of Fresno, Calif.

"What can I say?" Savage told the San Francisco Chronicle. "I think he'd make a great attorney general compared to the other guy. By the way, who is the other guy?"

Republican Poochigian is currently a state senator and former assemblyman who has served 12 years in Sacramento.

"You have to make choices in an imperfect world," Savage said. "And this, this Machugian guy [sic]. I never heard of him. I don't even know who he is."

"Why bet on a horse that isn't going to win? Why throw your money into the garbage?"

Savage said he respects Brown's decision to start the Oakland military academy and his experience as a politician, regardless of his very liberal past.

Brown, who had the nickname "Governor Moonbeam," served as California's governor for two terms beginning in 1974. A former Democratic presidential candidate, he ran for mayor of Oakland, Calif., in 1998 and won.

"People change. He changed. He has experience," Savage told the Chronicle. ... "He's moved to the center, which is what this socialist state needs."

As for the conservative Poochigian's campaign, they are not so angry with the Savage defection, bragging that their candidate has the backing of Bo Derek.

As I suggested on another thread on the subject: anti-Armenian bias.

Agreed... He's basically a liberal who is cynical enough to pretend to be a conservative to rake in some extra $$$.

The show tune-loving, little-dog-obsessed fool never ceases to embarass himself.

Didn't he criticize President Bush for not being conservative enough?!

He calls Bush a liberal, Condi a Dunce and an idiot, Rummy "Dumsfeld" and calls for his firing, calls Rush "Hush Bimbo" and other awful names, says he hates "Bushbots", calls O'Reilly "Leprechan", calls Hannity "Vanity", says Iraq is better off with Saddam, says we should pull out of Iraq, says the price of oil should be controlled, says he's not going to vote, blasts the GOP far more than the Dems... I could go on and on.

Weiner, a.k.a. Savage, is a scumbag, pure and simple.

Savage is, always has been, and always will be a self serving egomaniac piece of excreted waste.

Someone should introduce Savage to computers and the internet. He could find all kinds of neat stuff, like this:

"...Brown has attempted to portray his mayoral record as that of a Giuliani-type city boss who's tough on crime. But homicides in Oakland are up nearly 100 percent since Brown first took office. And that's just the tip of the iceberg, says Brown's opponent, state senator Charles Poochigian, whose campaign eagerly counts the ways in which Governor Brown was soft on crime: pardoning seven first-degree murderers; supporting a prisoners' bill of rights while opposing a crime victims' bill of rights; vetoing a bill reinstating the death penalty (a veto the state legislature overrode); and opposing lethal injection as California's method of capital punishment."

I can't wait for Levin's program to continue expanding nation-wide. He'll wipe the floor with Weiner. He'll beat him across the country, the way he does in NYC, EVERY single ratingds period since they went head-to-head.

Is that Mark Levin? I think we have him here in OKC, I'll have to check and see when.

At first I thought he was merely doing his shtick screaming, ranting and bellowing about America-haters, commie elected officials, and other similar idiotic nonsense. Then, I thought he knew his discrete segment of a fringe listening audience and was playing to a small crowd of nut cases. Now I'm convinced that he's actually insane as he meanders and rambles about anecdotal events in some remote town as being the universal truth about all of (here fill in the blank of his target for the three hours).

He mumbles about his dog, being a mariner without equal, a gourmet, an author of reputed best sellers (thin books with large print echoing meaningless rhetoric) and other of his self-asserted superlative characteristics and skills.

If one were to pick up a dictionary and lookup ''ego-maniacal'' I'm certain that there'd be a pencil drawing of this blabber mouthed screed monger.

Other than that, he's entertaining so long as he's not taken seriously.

His Don't hate me becasue I'm a jew diatribe is sickening.

I have never EVER heard him refer to himself as a Jew. And I've been listening to him since the beginning.

I think his body chemistry has been slowly changing over the years to where he's become mentally unbalanced. He can be talking normally one second, then in the next second he's shrieking. Either that, or it's the topic of politics that's getting to him. He used to read philosopher Lin Yutang, now it's all political sturm und drang.

I've been listening to his last hour on our local station this past week after I'm done listening to Mark Levin on my computer.

He has been on a real tangent of bashing President Bush and the Republicans while loudly proclaiming that he is an Independant.

I was shocked at what I've been hearing. He always was wacky - but he's gone over the edge.

If you haven't heard him lately - check it out. You won't believe what you hear.

Worse yet - they put Alan Colmes on now. He is disgusting on the radio. Hides a lot of his venom on TV - but lets it all hang out on his radio show.
