Was he actually laying face down in the commercial? :)
Michael J Fox's ad is deceptive, dishonest and politically motivated. I think MJF's ad is simply unacceptable.
But they don't kill babies with ADULT stem cell therapy.
Does anyone have the ad? I haven't seen it.
I bet he was on his meds when he wrote the book or he wouldnt have made a wooden nickle
Nope, no bias there.
Yes, he WAS an ACTOR. I loved Spin City.
What is more troubleing, to me, is that he pretty much admits to pimping himself out for this - by not taking his medication.
Not to mention the whole premise is a bit off.
Have you seen the counter-ad on YouTube?
The "SNIP" in the above synopsis comprised of about three minutes, all in the same segment. (part 7, 7:20-10:30 for you 24/7 archive searchers) I cringed when I heard Rush's first statements knowing the red meat the MSM would find to discredit him. His larger point is, of course, right on the money...he just presented it in a less than "Rushlike" presentation.
I listen to Rush everyday, have done since he started his program back in S.F. and there is one thing about Rush...he is spin and baiting the MSM and when he gets where he wants them to be, the door will hit them in the face like their face was never hit before.
This is his whole reason for saying alot of the stuff that he says...
If you notice, alot of the MSM repeat word for word what he says on his show and he knows it...they would love to shut him down but can't.
Everything he says or anyone else says on his show is taped and at any time he can pull it up...
Fox can go pound sand.
Honestly if I was a democratic or Republican candidate I would not want Fox doing a commercial for me, having uncontrollable looking seizures like that. Frankly, it's ghastly looking and reminds me of Christopher Reed. I know the pc crowd says how courageous and powerful a commercial like that is but honestly I think people are sickened and turned off by it and it might actually turn around and help the opponents. I think I speak for a lot of non-pc people when I say that maybe I feel sorry for somebody like Fox, and it is sad, but frankly I would rather not look at him.
I have sympathy for the person, but he's a Canadian, isn't he?
That what riles me. He should should harrange the Canadian government.
I think that the point that Rush is trying to make is that Fox was lying in the ads and the Democrats thought that no one would have the nerve to challenge the veracity of what Fox was saying because Fox is sick, and a sick man surely wouldn't lie.
BOR on about this now. Of course he'll probably sympathize with Fox. Hope thye tell the facts about the stem cell research.
I wonder when Fox will start pimpin' for Ben Cardin?
The reporter did a sloppy job on purpose. Didn't try to report what Rush was really saying nor what he explained in a later segment.
Like ABC's nastily referring to GOP voters in Missouri as "troops".
Where ya been the past twenty years? Michael J. Fox was, for one glorious summer, the hottest actor on the planet.
After breaking out as a young star on the NBC sitcom Family Ties, Fox got the lead role in the Steven Spielberg-produced fantasy Back To The Future. Previously, he had filmed a low-budget tongue-in-cheek remake of I Was a Teenage Werewolf called Teen Wolf. Future was released July 3, 1985 and was number one the box office for the remainder of the summer. But Wolf was released August 23, and became the number two movie. To the best of my memory and research, this was the first time in motion picture history that one actor held down the number 1 and 2 positions.
Future is one of my favorite movies. I have models of the DeLorean time machines. I have a car that I probably wouldn't have if it didn't somewhat resemble a DeLorean. It's hard for me to dislike Fox, because I believe he is a great talent, especially as a physical comedian, as he showed in The Secret of My Success. Had he stayed healthy, I would have loved to see him in a biopic about a silent film actor like Harold Lloyd or Mack Sennett.
