Here's what I used as a memory aid before the tags became automatic:
I entered four, often used tags (hyper-link, image link, font size and font color) into a Word document, saved it as HTML and entered a shortcut to the HTML document on the Quick Launch bar. When I visited FR, I opened the HTML document and left it open on the Task bar when blogging. When I needed a tag, it was a simple copy and paste of the appropriate tag, from that Word document into the Your Reply window, and then a second, quick copy and past from the source URL into the already pasted tag in the Your Reply window.
