This is a revolting development, of course. I have absolutely zero, zilch, nada confidence that the NJ Supremos will come down on the right side of this issue.

On the plus side, it should bring a lot of Republicans to the polls.

Yup...actually, I think Kean beats Menendez by about +4..Reason is, whenever in the past the NJ voters have tossed out a Dem...Whtiman over Florio, or even when nonentity Bell came within a whisker of beating Bradley..the polls all missed it...or perhaps many voters will express disgust with Corzine/McGreevey/Toricelli by voting for Kean....

BTW..is Lautenberg still alive.he have been virtually invisible this last month..not supporting Menendez..

If NJ goes for homosexual based marriage then look for the Democrats to say to conservatives that the election is over and homosexual normalization is inevitable.

If NJ goes against homosexual based marriage then look for Democrats to say, see there is no activist judges so conservatives can safely stay home and protest not vote because judiciary is not relevant.

Either way Democrats will spin it as stay home.

(remember the Supreme Court folks, we have two USSC Justices who are praying Democrats take the senate on Nov 7 so they can retire)
