Should a veiled woman be allowed to present the news, they were asked. If they look like Helen Thomas, you bet!

A senior BBC executive admitted to the British paper Daily Express, "There was a widespread acknowledgement that we may have gone too far in the direction of political correctness. Unfortunately, much of it is so deeply embedded in the BBC's culture, that it is very hard to change it." Here's an idea: BBC upper management could issue a new policy decree. But according to this guy, BBC employees would willfully disobey new corporate edicts issued by upper management, and upper management would be hunky-dory with that, apparently.

What would you do, the executives were asked, if Cohen decided to throw kosher food, the Archbishop of Canterbury, the Bible and the Quran in the trash. Everything would be allowed, the executives said, except for the Quran, for fear of offending the British Muslim community. Geez. What a scumbag.

"...admitted the national news agency was guilty of promoting left-wing views and anti-Christian sentiment."Even though you can't respect them for it, there is something at least unburdoning about the blunt truth.
It's like the Ku Klux Klan openly admitting that it's racist. You don't respect them, but at least the blunt truth is admitted. Maybe it's that, contemptible as they are, at least the truth is out there and easier to deal with.
It also calls forth images of King Lear, unburdoned crawling toward death--and all that his foolishness brought on.
