In Illinois its a letter from your committeeman. And you don't organize crack dealers, you work for the machine candidate. As soon as November elections are done, we start on the race for Mayor, alderman, etc.
We don't need no drivers license or insurance. They're just pieces of paper you buy from another precinct captain anyway.

The entire article indicates that, in fact, noone was being transported at all. This was nothing but a straight fraud that noone gave a damn about until someone from the media caught wind of the scams. Yet, all they care about is "Is the paperwork properly on file?"
I figure half of every dollar that is extracted from me is wasted in fraud.

In Illinois, they are transported at least two days per year ... on your dime.
Primary election day and general election day.
