Yes, that's exactly what they think. Thomas Sowell explained it beautifully in his book "Vision of the Anointed". It clearly explains exactly how liberals view themselves and the rest of us ("the benighted"). They truly believe we should shut up and accept with gratitude their plans for our lives.
