Katherine Harris was the Florida Secretary of State. The Florida Supreme Court over-ruled the District court and turned justice on its head. It took SCOTUS to correct their error.
Flash forward to the present. Katherine Harris is running for Senator for Florida and three of the Justices who supported AlGore are up for a retention vote. It is as close as one can get to replay the Florida 2000 election without actually having GWB's name on the ballot.
