The real fun is how often people ask if my child have different fathers even though three look just like their dad and two look like me... My eyes are brown, my wife's are hazel. I am half Norwegian, and half mixture of many others. My wife is a mixture of others, mostly from England, and Scotland.
Once while my mother in law was visiting and our 7 children were around the breakfast table, she asked me, "Your older kids all have hazel or blue eyes, your youngest are all brown eyes, why is that?." I said, "we got a new milk man".
She about fell over.

Under the laws of genetics, two parents with blue eyes will always have blue-eyed children, it said. So a blue-eyed man can know his blue-eyed wife or partner has cheated on him if their child has brown eyes. The smart cheating wife would therefore only cheat with blue-eyed philanderers....
What a dismally stupid article.

The whole family has blue eyes and green eyes except the one that had yellow eyes. Most are blond, too, at least in childhood. I married a green-eyed redhead, which was treated as a radical decision by several, but they didn't like to talk about the yellow eyed one either.

In seriousness, actual yellow iris is a near complete lack of pigment, so only the lipofuscin (a fat-like substance) is showing.
People with green eyes have this, but also have melanin.
To greatly over-simplify, a type of iris albinos.

She's a witch. Probably left-handed, too.

"What this article doesn't mention is that sometimes mutations occur. A blue-eyed person may -- rare, but it does happen -- carry a gene for brown eyes that was supposed to be dominant but, because of a mutation, flipped and was trumped by the blue-eyed gene. In this case, a blue-eyed person would carry a gene for brown eyes that may show up when he has a child. Thus, a brown-eyed person may have blue-eyed parents if one (or both, theoretically) of the parents were supposed to have brown eyes. My mother's eyes, hazel, Father's blue.
My wife's, green, my In-laws, green, blue.
Her two sister's, blue
My children, hazel, blue.

Ever seen yellow eyes? Not brown or green, just really yellow. I have. A mom of one of my Sunday school kids. Blonde hair, yellow eyes ... very pretty.

That's interesting. Seems like some albinos have red eyes. There's another iris color that is very attractive, which is the very light blue some Russian women have.

This is kind of your area...You have to have double blue parents, and a spouse with double blue parents, to get 100% blue-eyed kids, right?

No, brown-eyed parents with brown-eyed grandparents can have 100% blue-eyed kids --- blue being recessive.
Note, this is POSSIBLE. Just not likely:
Bb + Bb =
BB
Bb
bB
bb
1/4 chance of blue eyes.

That ratio of 25:75 blue eyes:brown eyes in a family worked in my Dad's case. His three sisters all had brown eyes, he as the only boy had blue eyes.
