That's why the Socialist-Democrats want to abolish the Electoral College.

Dingdingdingding -- correctamundo!

The Marxists get their way on the Electoral College, and you'd never again see a presidential candidate anywhere except an urban auditorium or TV studio.

The upside being, upstate New Yorkers would never see Hillary again.

I know this. Cheney has a grip and osama obama is a punk.
I think even Quayle would make obama look silly.

First time I heard him speak I realized he was a liberal - he actually sounds more like a U.N. diplomat than a politician.

There is a burnished "slick" to him - unidentifiable at the present time because he is the new kid - but it is there - and I would not trust his honesty - for that quality would depend upon situational self service.

Have to admit I like his presentation, but none of it is under fire, duress, stress, or knowledge. He is way too green to be the president of anything.

And finally because Oprah is promoting him, that remains high on my list of "suspect" not because he is being promoted as the Black President, but because he will fold and bend to the pressure of the Black Caucus, the ACLU and a myriad of other little cabals, rather than viewing the whole picture of all of the nation's people and their ancestry. It will be his cross to bear - loyalty to the Black voters because they will insist on their needs served first. The Black people to call in favors for their vote. Their "civil rights leaders" have taught them to expect it.

"Communist talent-spotters at Columbia offered you a ticket on their big red armored train, did they, Barack?"

Those commies know how to stroke an ego--and damn near anything else. But you have to admit he *IS* pretty when he speaks.

Cat's smooth, give him that -- I couldn't get away from him last week, when he was doing his toe-in-the-water tour of the talking-head shows. Caught most of his act on "Charlie Rose". He's articulate and can think on his feet. Too bad he isn't more forthright about a) his ambition, and therefore b) his willingness to submerge his agenda in what you want to hear.

I don't like his middle name, the fact that his father dumped his mother and him and then came back years later to "check on the boy", or his politics, much less his political affiliations.

I also don't like that Illinois Republicans have been so indiligent about getting on this guy's case and staying on it -- hell, they didn't even oppose him, left it up to Alan Keyes to come 800 miles to run against him. Then they didn't even support Keyes, who got immolated.

But then they'll come on boards like FR and tell conservatives not to be such prima donnas and whiny-asses, and support the cheesy RiNO's they put up for national and statewide offices like good little footsoldiers.

Yeh, the real shame for us Republicans here in Illinois began when that rotten $%^&* Ryan that preceded Keyes as our man for the senate turned out to be a very non-Republican acting schmuck who behaved with all the apparent sexual discretions and restraint of a 17 year-old teleported to Heff's mansion. We all felt collective guilt and embarresment. I still remember having urban lib hipster friends (everyone needs a few for perspective) tell me
"oh everybody does those things...that's his private business anyway." And here I was, actually being contrite for the mess that boy made of things for everyone.

We left Mr. Keyes to fight alone, it's true. And Cal City is a hard base for a Republican to win from.
