I vote for whowever has the best mathematical shot at preventing the dem from holding the public office, which is usually a republican.

I hear Hillary is changing parties. Are you still sticking with that?

I have a very strong hunch that Hillary will run as an independent. She'll try to do what Joe Lieberman is doing and start scolding out democrats.

This could especially happen after Al Gore wins the dem nomination.

Good morning.
"I hear Hillary is changing parties. Are you still sticking with that?"

Slick answer, but the other FReeper wrote "usually a republican."

I think we would still be able to vote Republican because the Hildebeast would never make it out of the primaries as one.

If she did, the "usually" part would come into effect.

It's a sobering thought though, isn't it.

If you are going to join the debate, at least be serious.

Hillary will never become a Republican so your point is invalid.

However, for the sake of argument, if Hillary was running for senator as a Republican (in a state I was allowed to vote in) I would vote for her.

Why you may ask? The way the rules are in congress, the polictical parties control who is in charge. Individuals are assigned duties according to which party is currently in charge. If voting for Hillary would mean the difference between the Republicans in charge as opposed to Democrats, I would hold my nose and vote for her.

Do I like this system, no, but it is what it is.
