I have talked to a large number of people, and those who have an opinion are against this. The level of opposition might surprise you.

I have talked to a large number of people, and those who have an opinion are for the TTC......

So I might be surprised but I seriously doubt it. Toll roads are going in around the major urban centers such as Houston, DFW, Austin, SA. So far the locals haven't shut down their RMAs. Rural areas don't have the congestion nor the population to defeat something the urban areas support. They may could via the legislative route but so far that hasn't even been an issue.

You admit you are okay with toll roads in Houston. Your main objection is that it's a proposal from the Governor whom you detest. jmo and reading/understanding of your posting history.
