A couple of weeks ago I suggested that we hook up the talking heads to a shock belt as is used in aversion therapy (think the invisible fence for dogs). Then give us remotes where we can zap them if they say something really stupid. They would either end up quivering puddles on the floor or as a pile of ash, depending on the amps they let us play with.
It would only work with some kind of voting system.
"OK, Kristol. You're over 10,000 negative comments. You get a jolt for being a jerk... ooooooo, Juan, you just passed 65,000. Hang on!"

Do you know how beautiful a defeat we could snatch from the dems if only the folks on the ground were smarter and didn't fall for MSM crap. All it would do, with the timed real and manufactured scandals as well, is piss our side off more and make them vote. I wouldn't mind our talk show hosts going along because we know what happened in 2004; If folks were voting to stay safe, they have a hell of lot more reasons to do it now... even at midterms.
