Even if the Dem's only pick up 8 seats they will claim Moral Victory Nope they were going for the whole enchilada with nancy leading them. I t will be a devaststaing loss for them and the media, which has pulled out all stops for the democrats.
When the GOP keeps control it will be a death knell for the dinosaur media.

If the Dems can't win control
in this environment there will be a shakeup. Too many dems will scream for it. They'll be forced to develop a real agenda and the fighting that ensues will split the Dems into pieces.
Hillary will come out leading one faction. The old guards of Kennedy, Kerry, Gore, Dean will likely join in with Cindy Sheehan greenie types never to be heard from again.
Hell, I'm a pretty hardline conservative and wouldn't be offended if someone called me a JFK democrat.
