Expect the 'Arab Street' to respond with riots to the suggestion that Muslims need to apologize for anything. This Cardinal obviously doesn't realize the only ones on the face of this earth who are to apologize repeatedly for anything are white people. That's because all the rewritten history book clearly show every problem in the world was caused by them.

What irritated the heck out of me after 9-11 was the Muslim community took forever and a day to come out and condemn the attacks. It was only after some media pressure that they did it as I recall.
Good for Cardinal O'Brien! God bless him.

O'Brien said: "There have been no apologies for the shooting of the nun [in Somalia after the Pope made his remarks], let alone for 9/11 or the London bombings. I would like to see some reciprocal moves from the Islamic side. We shouldn't have to live in fear of attack from Muslims." We shouldn't still be waiting for an apology after over 5 years, nor should we have to be asking for it. Any apology that is given because it was asked for is NOT genuine. I appreciate the good cardinal's intentions, but I hope he's not holding his breath over this one.

Reciprocation is the key word for the Catholic Church's comments about Islam. And it's going to snowball from the Catholic Church to other faith-walks. And from there to governments!
