Okay, I'll tell my hospital story.
I hate mammograms. Every woman who's had one understands.
Quite a number of years ago, as part of a physical exam, I was referred for a mammogram.
I go to the hospital and find where I'm to wait. Then I am ushered into the changing room where I remove anything waist up (including jewelry) and put a hospital gown on backwards (opening in front).
Nurse comes in, shows me where to stand, tells me where to place the mammo for the gram and then asks if it's okay for her to touch my mammo to move it to the correct position.
I'm confused and say "yes, it's okay." Then she says "some women won't let me touch them because I'm black." I took another look and doggone she was.
So I asked her what any rational woman would ask: "You are a nurse, right? You're trained to take mammograms, right?" She said, "Yes" to both questions. So I said, "Then the color of your skin isn't important."
I still marvel that there are women who wouldn't let a nurse touch them because the nurse is black. I saw a nurse, color didn't matter.

Now if the nurse was an arab man and he asked to manipulate your importants, would you have noticed?
I can't get over male nurses but then I am of a certain age!
