Reporter(Pincus): Media should help set national agenda
Arkansas Democrat-Gazette ^ | October 21, 2006 | BY HEATHER WECSLER

In the name of objectivity, too many media outlets have abdicated the press’s traditional role in helping to set the national agenda, longtime Washington Post reporter Walter Pincus said this week. “I would argue the electronic and print media have more power than they did 50 years ago, but they turn over their space and time to events initiated by government officials and their critics,” Pincus told a lunchtime crowd Monday at the University of Arkansas Clinton School of Public Service in Little Rock.

They may be narcissists... but they're 100% socialist. These rag-pickers have only one desire... to transform America into a socialist democracy. Heavy on the socialism with elections more along the lines of the old Soviet Union.

On the positive side, if our elections went Soviet, at least I'd have a shot.

It's largely the same thing. Narcissists are tortured by envy because it is a constant challenge to their self-beliefs. Socialists are tortured by envy sometimes because of a narcissistic disorder, sometimes for the plain and simple evil of envy. The object of socialism is to take from the envied until they are envied no more, to "level the playing field" to placate their demon.

Dean Koontz wrote a book The Husband which is loaded with characters who are sociopaths and psychotics. I love this line from it: "Genuinely insane men don't know they are deranged, and therefore they see no need to wear a mask."

Also this one about sociopaths (which I especially like because it describes TRIMfPOTUS): "Other than rage, the closest thing sociopaths have to human emotions is self-love and self-pity, the only love and only pity of which they are capable. Their extreme self-love is beyond mere rampant egomania.

"Psychotic self-love includes nothing as worthy as self-respect, but it does encompass a kind of overweening pride. (Anson) could not feel shame, but his pride had fallen from a high place into a swamp of self-pity."

I would guess most of the commie media are closer to sociopaths than psychos because they USED to understand the need to mask their true selves and true goals.

Most of these fascisti have dropped the masks and are right out in the open now like Pincus basically demanding to run the government.

I wonder if they've gone over the edge into psychosis, or if they think they're so close to winning they no longer need to hide, or maybe they see the possibility of us awakening and stopping them and therefore have no more time to hide...

These old, socialist turds in print-media are all gulping their last breath of oxygen... same goes for news divisions of the three original TV networks. They're throwing caution to the wind and going for broke in promoting the socialist-democrat agenda.

I agree with you that they are panicked and time is not on their side. Of the three possibilites I listed I think the third is the right one. Of course, it doesn't necessarily exclude the first.

I attended this school on a Winthrop Rockefeller Scholarship when it was still Little Rock University - actually wasn't too bad a place until it was brought under the U. of Arkansas umbrella. Letting Skip Rutherford be in charge of anything and naming something after the rapist in chief tells you what a travesty the school has become.

Every now and again my husband suggests we think of moving to Arkansas since we've retired. I tell him I left that joke of a state once and see no reason to move back. It's still Arkansas and full of Arkies!

“Fox [News, a Murdoch property ] gains viewers over a presumably neutral CNN partly because people want opinions,” he said.

CNN International makes CNN look down right patriotic.

Pincus need to just STFU, go back to kneeling in front of Joe Wilson, and then go to work.
