Many of us judge ideas on the basis of their perceived consequences in the realm of our own greatest individual knowledge or interest. From this view-point it is clear there’s no room for government by the consent of the governed in a mechanistic life-view, despite the elaborate lip-service paid to the idea by some of those who count themselves among The Masters of the Universe.
