US tracking 'suspicious ship' from N Korea

Oct. 20, 2006

WASHINGTON — The United States is tracking a suspicious vessel that left a North Korean port, a US official said yesterday, adding it was uncertain what it was carrying. . The CBS news network reported that US intelligence suspects that the vessel is carrying military equipment banned under an embargo imposed by the United Nations Security Council in response to North Korea's nuclear test on Oct 9.

The resolution calls on North Korea to return to negotiations over its nuclear programme and imposes a range of financial, trade and military restrictions.

While Japan has assured US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, who is visiting the region, in meetings on Wednesday that it fully supported the sanctions, South Korea and China have baulked at taking measures that could cause the collapse of their impoverished neighbour.

"The United States is aware of a vessel that has left a North Korean port," the US official said. "There are some suspicions. I would be careful of the certitude of the vessel's cargo."

The official said it was a "suspicious ship", suggesting that its history was a key reason for watching it. — AFP

CNN never seems to have problem with an enemy of the United States.

And when did CNN ever find a left wing dictator so awful they couldn't find something about him to love?

CNN's staff is probably sitting around right now trying to figure out how to defend the North Korean ship, blame Bush, and get an interview...

Yes, lots of ships suddenly develop large holes below the waterline, leap out of the water and sink with all hands. Happens all the time. :)

Something is up- N. Korea just said 'sorry, shouldn't have done nuclear test' and now there's a mysterious ship floating about? Me thinks they're trying to dewceive us into thinkinjg they aint up to anythign by apologizing, while they sneakily slip a nuke into position I'm sure Jimmy Jihad Carter though beleives Kim Jong Ill and will be singing his praises and denouncing the U.S soon- can't wait for his 'patriotic' speeches to hit the liberal media front pages.

Kim is already toast. The CHICOMS have ordered it; early 2007. This despot is not going to ruin their olympics.

Regime change is a reality thanks to Dubya.

Kim's little tantrum has fizzled, over and out. His nuke scientists are toast for failing to produce. The CHICOMS will be doing a little regime change soon.

Not only is Kim toast now, but so is dingy harry, and hastert. I gave up on hastert when he cried foul on the fbi raid on jefferson's office freezer.

I just wonder who will be the first to say they need "more time with the family,", kim, harry, or denny?
