Bill of Rights Amendment I Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof..

what i'm asking is, since marriage is a religious establishment, do you also oppose constitutional ammendments (state or federal) banning gay marriage?

What "religion" established gay marriage and from the back of which comic book did they get their divinity degree?

The state cannot and will not "ban gay marriage".

It is simply the case that the state does not recognize any same sex union. But two men can dress in flowing white dresses, make endless vows to each other, have a reception, get gifts and nag each other into old age.

The only thing is that the state won't issue a license to them.

Gays used to do this all the time. They were called "commitment ceremonies" before the fascists in the homosexual rights movement decided that their psychoses wouldn't be assuaged unless the state were forced by judges to officially recognize such unions as marriages.

Marriage isn't a religious establishment. It is a Divinely established institution. Believers and unbelievers may enjoy the blessings of that institution and live very healthy lives when abiding by the legitimate authority within those institutions. Three other divinely established institutions include free will (volition), family, and national governance.

Those who rebel from those institutions merely bring additional suffering and misery into their lives and others around them. One doesn;t have to have faith in Christ in order to inherit many of the blessings of those institutions. They were provided for believer and unbeliever alike.
