HAMDEN, Conn. -- Sen. Joe Lieberman has increased his lead over Democratic challenger Ned Lamont to 17 percentage points, according to the first Quinnipiac University poll taken since the two faced off in a debate earlier this week.
Lieberman, who is running as an independent after losing the Aug. 8 Democratic primary to Lamont, leads the Greenwich businessman 52 percent to 35 percent among likely voters in the poll released Friday.

He's not my favourite politician, but anything that hurts the Dean / Michael Moore / moonbat wing of the Democrat party is worth smiling about.

With the Democrats turning into the hate-Israel party, at least Joe can be a bulwark for Israel in the Senate, to say nothing of his support for the war in Iraq. Better him than the Kos kid guy Lamont.

Lamont is the most contemptible type of politician - the champagne socialist. America has been very good to him; he is rich, free and able to do what he likes. He is now actively working to destroy the mechanisms which would allow anyone else to achieve the same standard of living.
When he loses, there will be some people, who shall remain nameless, who will laugh and say, "Die die die, you evil bastard".

The enemy of my enemy is my friend. It's going to be Lieberman or Lamont, like it or not. Plus, a nice kick in the teeth to the Kod kids and DUmmies.

My hope is the moonbats will panic and start diverting money to Lamont and away from other races.

The much vaunted Leftwing bloggers have never gotten anyone elected and I'll be happy to see their losing streak continue.

It amazes me the dysfunctional Republican party has become so inept and incompetent their members are actually convincing themselves to vote for a socialist Joe Lieberman.

I don't vote for dems but I'd love to see old Joe win and then announce his intentions to pull a Jeffords on the dems.
And don't ya know they'd deserve it?

It is just like voting for most of the Republicans over the defeatocrats. They are just a little bit better. Sore loserman is just a little better than socialist lamont.
