Japan's neighbors, the ones that count, will side with Japan.
Japan's neighbors, the ones that count, are China, Russia and South Korea. Malaysia and Indonesia are pseudo-Islamofascist states on the Earth's equator. In the case of Malaysia, there is also a sizeable Chinese minority. And no one wants to touch the basketcase called Indonesia.

Alter Kaker's posts were about relations between countries, and how a nuclear Japan would somehow drive Japan's allies towards Japan's enemies... an absurd premise utterly unsupported by the facts. Equally absurd is the mindset shared by both of you that the really, really important countries are Japan's adversaries rather than its allies, and that Japan should pursue a defense policy centered around not upsetting its enemies. Have you ever heard of Neville Camberlain?
I've explained the relationship between Japan and South Korea. Perhaps you could enlighten us all by illustrating the many friendly, strategic military alliances between Japan and China or Russia, and how those countries have been such excellent neighbors to Japan.
You actually think China is a paper tiger... do you know anything?
