Then Rove had Bush go out and make speeches using code words to demonize conservatives who opposed his America-busting immigration plans.

Apparently Rove has hired Vincente Fox from before the election of 2000 then to echo the madness...

"A time to kick and scream. A time to be pragmatic."

I see it differently from the Denver Post:

A time to stand for the rule of law rather than a time for appeasement of lawbreakers. A time to secure our borders and control immigration rather than a time for flooding our nation with low-skilled hoards of illegal invaders.

I got to play the lottery tonight. If the Post can endorse Tancredo, I can win.

"So, did Tancredo's latest check clear into your bank account?"

Why yes it did. How did you know? I can't believe I got paid a thousand dollars just for this.

How are things at the Bill Winter camp?

1035rep, show me a poll, taken here on FR, that shows anything but the majority of FReepers solidly against Bush/Rove's plan for providing a path to citizenship for the illegal aliens in the USA now or ever.

Show me a poll, taken here on FR, that shows anything but that a majority of FReepers believe that Bush/Rove's plan is nothing more than just another amnesty.

"Why hang around to make themselves and everyone else miserable?"

Think maybe it's time the minority of FReepers in favor of the Bush/Rove amnesty for illegal aliens plan to consider finding a new site?

Think maybe they should be the FReepers to follow your advice?

November 8, the guy is ....Demonized by the Democrat wonk types and blogs for being a "genius" with his sneaky, un-wonkish strategy of making sure Republican voters get absentee ballot applications.

The post you are referring to are Jim Robinson's posts. So I don't think he will be looking for another site....SINCE HE OWNS THIS ONE.   I suppose you could ask him though  LOL!!!

We didn't support Tancredo's re-election bid in 2004, preferring challenger Joanna Conti who would have served without Tancredo's polarizing persona and single-item agenda.

Well, if these people were not brain dead they'd know this "single-item" effects many others.

Uh, last I saw, there were a number of posts wherein Jim opposes W's Amnesty crap. So his degree of support is hardly mindless. And look at the Free Republic Credo...which, sad to say, definitely and irrebuttably, is not W's philosophy:

Free Republic is the premier online gathering place for independent, grass-roots conservatism on the web. We're working to roll back decades of governmental largesse, to root out political fraud and corruption, and to champion causes which further conservatism in America. And we always have fun doing it. Hoo-yah!

.............

Statement by the founder of Free Republic:
In our continuing fight for freedom, for America and our constitution and against totalitarianism, socialism, tyranny, terrorism, etc., Free Republic stands firmly on the side of right, i.e., the conservative side. Believing that the best defense is a strong offense, we (myself and those whom I'm trying to attract to FR) support the strategy of taking the fight to the enemy as opposed to allowing the enemy the luxury of conducting their attacks on us at home on their terms and on their schedule...

I posted the following statement to our front page in response to the criticism I'm receiving lately as to not being fair and balanced and perceived mistreatment of trolls and assorted malcontents. Got news for all, I'm NOT fair and balanced. I'm biased toward God, country, family, liberty and freedom and against liberalism, socialism, anarchism, wackoism, global balonyism and any other form of tyranny. Hope this helps.

Statement by the founder of Free Republic:

In our continuing fight for freedom, for America and our constitution and against totalitarianism, socialism, tyranny, terrorism, etc., Free Republic stands firmly on the side of right, i.e., the conservative side. Believing that the best defense is a strong offense, we (myself and those whom I'm trying to attract to FR) support the strategy of taking the fight to the enemy as opposed to allowing the enemy the luxury of conducting their attacks on us at home on their terms and on their schedule.

Therefore, we wholeheartedly support the Bush Doctrine of pre-emptive strikes on known terrorist states and organizations that are believed to present a clear threat to our freedom or national security. We support our military, our troops and our Commander-in-Chief and we oppose turning control of our government back over to the liberals and socialists who favor appeasement, weakness, and subserviency. We do not believe in surrendering to the terrorists as France, Germany, Russia and Spain have done and as Kerry, Kennedy, Clinton and the Democrats, et al, are proposing.

As a conservative site, Free Republic is pro-God, pro-life, pro-family, pro-Constitution, pro-Bill of Rights, pro-gun, pro-limited government, pro-private property rights, pro-limited taxes, pro-capitalism, pro-national defense, pro-freedom, and-pro America. We oppose all forms of liberalism, socialism, fascism, pacifism, totalitarianism, anarchism, government enforced atheism, abortionism, feminism, homosexualism, racism, wacko environmentalism, judicial activism, etc. We also oppose the United Nations or any other world government body that may attempt to impose its will or rule over our sovereign nation and sovereign people. We believe in defending our borders, our constitution and our national sovereignty.

Free Republic is private property. It is not a government project, nor is it funded by government or taxpayer money. We are not a publicly owned entity nor are we an IRS tax-free non-profit organization. We pay all applicable taxes on our income. We are not connected to or funded by any political party, news agency, or any other entity. We sell no merchandise, product or service, and we offer no subscriptions or paid memberships. We accept no paid advertising or promotions. We are funded solely by donations (non tax deductible gifts) from our readers and participants.

We aggressively defend our God-given and first amendment guaranteed rights to free speech, free press, free religion, and freedom of association, as well as our constitutional right to control the use and content of our own personal private property. Despite the wailing of the liberal trolls and other doom & gloom naysayers, we feel no compelling need to allow them a platform to promote their repugnant and obnoxious propaganda from our forum. Free Republic is not a liberal debating society. We are conservative activists dedicated to defending our rights, defending our constitution, defending our republic and defending our traditional American way of life.

Our God-given liberty and freedoms are not negotiable.

May God bless and protect our men and women in uniform fighting for our freedom and may God continue to bless America.

Jim Robinson

Any questions??

I think your confused. I never mentioned anything about illegal immigration or amnesty. Never said anyone had mindless support either. SO, I have no idea what your talking about.

He will need to show NO flexibility, or he will become the "problem"

Rove is quite possibly the worst hack who ever worked for the RNC.

As for immigration, that was genius. He understood the white liberal mindset very well. He, Bolten, Norquist, whomever, set up the false dilemma of "comprehensive" immigration reform. Rove "tipped" reporters that "conservative republicans house members" were going to be the problem. Twice, and all told because the reporters like to brag about their access. Then Rove had Bush go out and make speeches using code words to demonize conservatives who opposed his America-busting immigration plans. The Dems and MSM fell for it hook, line and sinker. Even Howard Dean jumped on the boat, giddy with the chance to define himself as sensitive and against conservatives. To this day they cast snooty remarks about those who call the Senate plan an "amnesty" even though Bush/Rove have relented and used the A word, "that word" that troubles Rove so, because he knows Bush lied.

So, Bush had no hand in this? Every time Bush goes around demanding "comprehensive reform" it's just a gimmick? Is Rove behind every tactic Bush uses? Is Rove really the president, then?

They only endorsed him because they know he is going to win.

BTW, it sounded more like they endorsed Winter than Tancredo.

An endorsement from the left-wing Denver Post. I did not see that coming.

It is interesting. But Tancredo had best not look at it as a gift: they're gonna crucify him if he doesn't move from yapping to doing.
