Unless someone has turned this into a Bush and Republican Fan Club, FreeRepublic, I still believe, is a place where what Government does can be analysed and discussed. FR was born during the Clinton era where there was much to criticize. There is even more to criticize when the side doing wrong is our side.
The 1000 posts long threads where cheerleading occurs don't impress me. Using FreeRepublic as a huge public town meeting to comment against Government wrong- whoever is in power- does.

Just because the Bush Administration and the Republican Congress might get it right more often than not does not render them above criticism when they blow it.
And they blew it with this bill. More nanny-state nonsense. I'd expect that from the Dims.
