I've been hearing this for awhile about all the issues that Republicans are dropping the ball on:
No border fence? - Bad, but it won't cost the Republicans.
Increased spending? - Ditto
Dubai Ports - Chastize the base for being close minded, but back down.
Apparent mismanagement of the peace in Iraq - Don't worry, people will still vote Republican
Foley and potential coverup - Not a big deal, the base will be there.
Quietly restrict online gaming - It's ok, gambling is bad, (except for lotteries, and state approved casinos).
Sort of sounds like whistling past the graveyard.
If Republicans manage to keep control of Congress, I wonder just what they have to do, or not do, to lose it?
