Wow, I can see about a dozen uses for this kind of coating. If transparent, car windshields, coating for car s both for the paint job and for the underside of the car, house siding and windows for buildings.

What about looking at Bill Clinton? None of the s*** he wallows in seems to stick on him.... at least in the MSM.

It probably is transparent, if the surface roughness is less than a wavelenght of visible light.

Not to mention improved waterless urinals. And, if it can be made to adhere to flexible surfaces, good water-repellant fabrics.

Another use (supposing it's cheap): liner coatings for pipelines. If it can't adhere to the sides of the pipe, I think pressure losses due to "pipe drag" might well be reduced.
