Indeed. He even brags about his "special sauce" that makes everything come out the way it should be.
My biggest thrill in the last couple of years was watching the Senate Judiciary Committee rats (Kennedy, Leaky Leahy, Biden, Feingold, Chucky Cheese, and Turban Durbin) make complete asses of themselves in front of the nation.
Yup! Ranks right up there with watching Perky Katie swirl down zeee twalet...daily.
I am hoping that Bush will get at least one more SCOTUS pick before his term ends. Can you say "GLOAT"?
I CAN say GLOAT but I doubt we'll get a chance. Those old codgers are hanging on for dear life, literally, for the next 2 years in hopes a dim will be elected in 08. But, then again, yas never know.
Great post, however he truly jumped the shark when he PREDICTED a Kerry win.
yes I did!! Today.Straight R ticket
Dear Norman Bates,
The polls certainly are not good news for Mr. Cardin.
However, Mr. Steele is running in a state where many, many voters are congenitally unable to pull a lever for someone with an "R" on his back.
As well, there's a lot of time between now and Nov. 7, and the major media here (Washington Lying Thieving Post, Baltimore Sun) represent a toxic environment for Republicans. Any little misstep by Mr. Steele could be blown up into a major problem.
Yet, Mr. Steele must continue to campaign aggressively.
So, it's still an uphill struggle.
However, Mr. Steele's secret weapon is that he is among the best retail politicians this state has ever seen (it is quite thrilling to see and hear him in person, as I have been privileged to witness) and he has been reaching out to the electorate pretty much non-stop for the last four years, especially in the black community.
What folks don't see in the major media is the stealth campaign that Mr. Steele has waged for the last four years to get his message out there. That's why something like 60% or 70% of blacks are at least thinking of voting for him. And that's why he could wind up with 25% or 30% of the vote there.
Keepin' my fingers crossed!!

It doesn't matter who you think is going to win at the halfway point. It doesn't matter who you think is going to win at the three-quarters point. It matters who wins when it's over." I read that he pulled the same analogy out this week as the Patriots are coming off their bye. He's got a different team and he's going through the same thing. But all these things are relevant to politics today in the sense that nobody knows what's going to happen right now, not a soul knows, not the pollsters, nobody knows. And to start making bets, start making plans to start letting your mood be affected by what you think is going to happen now based on what nobody can know, nobody can know. If we knew who was going to -- if the polls were accurate, then there would be no reason to have the election, would there be? If the exit polls were accurate, there would be no reason to count the votes, would there? But for some reason, we still in this country (I don't know for how much longer) count the votes. It isn't going to last too long, if Democrats keep losing on the real vote count. We're going to stop counting the real votes and we're going to go on polls, pre-election polls and exit polls. But for now, Democrats lose. And I'm telling you, there is no way, there is not a person of this earth who knows what's going to happen on Election Day. There is nobody who knows what's going to happen tomorrow. There's nobody who knows what's going to happen tonight, other than those for whom it is night time and are living it now -- and yet we've got defeatist attitudes and we've got euphoria. We've got people making plans, Democrats, Pelosi, first hundred hours, measuring the drapes, they're celebrating on the ten yard line and they're about to spike the ball early and create a fumble.
The democrats may want to tone down their expectations.
