CNN) -- Chilling scenes from a videotape made by insurgents show the work of snipers in Iraq, targeting and killing American troops, taking them down with a single bullet from a high-powered rifle. The graphic video of 10 sniper attacks was obtained by CNN -- through intermediaries -- from the Islamic Army of Iraq, one of the most active insurgent organizations in Iraq. In one scene, U.S. soldiers mingle among Iraqi civilians on a city street as a U.S. Humvee with a gunner in its turret stands guard nearby. From a distance, possibly hundreds of yards away, a sniper watches for his opportunity to strike as a fellow insurgent operates a camera to capture the video for propaganda purposes. In the video, street sounds mix with male Arabic voices as the sniper and his spotter talk off-camera. "People are around them," warns the spotter, who seems to be operating the video camera. "Want me to find another place?" "No, no," comes the reply, "give me a moment." And then, the crack of gunfire is heard and the soldier in the turret slumps forward. "Allahu Akbar (God is Great)!" is the exclamation as the sniper's vehicle starts and they slip away.

Bet you CNN would say that story doesn't need to be told...old news and all....American bodies from the WTC don't matter to the MSM.
Not sure how this is a story - except they have an election to win.
Anyone can go to Youtube.com and watch videos of Iraqi insurgents/terrorists sniping at our troops. The bad guys have been posting them for years on the internet.
That CNN "has obtained a video" is a ridiculous bit of journalism. Anyone could have very easily obtained many such videos for years on their laptop in Kalamazoo. Its a part of the enemy's propaganda machine. Keep in mind, the world peace movement (driven by reds & socialists who believe the class struggle is of far more importance than national struggle) is fine if we lose this war and every war we ever fight again . . . .
Oh, common guys, I deplore CNN as anybody, but what is going on in Iraq is disgsuting.
Why is it that US soldiers have to patrol the street sof Oraq TODAY? after how many years?
If they loose the Senate or the House they have only themselves to blame!
True.
Hmmmmm...histroy lesson for you big guy...after WWII how many years did US soldiers work in unison with local West German forces (since Germany was divided then) to patrol the streets of the then West Germany? (ahhh the good ole check point charlie days...)
We're going to have a substantial military presence in Iraq for a long time, and it is always going to be deadly as long as Syria and Iran have the same regimes...the bad guys (IRAN and SYRIA, and JIHADIS) will do anything to toppel a government that gives the power of Freedom to its people (and the good guys, which is US contrary to the likes of CNN/Jon Stewart/ et. al will be there to stop them)...it's a situational mission requirement that our troops continue to be visible...Bush has tried to explain that...but CNN/ABC/CBS never give him air time when he is speaking of the mission in IRAQ...all the MSM does is run the "bombing of the day", "quagmire", "where does it end", administration hit piece...it's repulsive....
When Jon Stewart-a man who makes his living through ridicule-went on crossfire and told them that they were destroying the news I knew that he was way too full of his own self-importance. He hides behind the "I'm just a comedian" shtick, but he advances an agenda while doing it. He's a pathetic coward.
Exactly...
It speaks volumes about CNN and others in the MSM that they have no problem playing propoganda videos of enemy snipers taking down American personnel but still can't find the balls to show the MadMo cartoons.
Last night, CNN seemed to have no problem at all playing virtually every frame of the jihadi tape. They did, however, black out _most_ of the take down shots, but it left little to the imagination.
CNN is afraid of calling them terrorists because it would indicate that they side with evil.
CNN covered up abuses under Saddam Hussein to maintain their Baghdad bureau. That they have not shown the same delicacy around President Bush shows a double standard in play.
This is pro-terrorist media and nothing less.
Won't watch them but I forced myself to weave through their "contact us" process to call them a propaganda mill for terrorist scum and then call them scum as well for not showing any positive videos of our troops.
I'm breathlessly awaiting their response./s

The mere Fact that CNN is willing to show YouTube Videos that have been around for years, and NOT the footage of screaming leapers from the Trade Center says more about where they stand, than anything else could.....
Well said.
Yep...CNN has an agenda, and it's a malicious one.
Time to take those RATS down.
CNN where the facts, context, history, and liberty doesn't matter...24/7/365.
Reminds me of the story about the recruiting sergeant that went by a barn in the countryside. It was covered with bull's eyes, and dead center in each bull's eye was a single shot.
He went to the farmhouse door and discovered that the farmer's 19 year-old son was the one that had done all the shooting. He got the kid to join the army, figuring that this guy would be a natural sharpshooter.
The first time the kid was at the rifle range, he did not hit the target a single time. Not the bull's eye, not the outer ring, not even the paper.
The instructor asked him why he shot so well at home, but so poorly in the Army. The kid replied: "Well, at home, I could shoot the gun, then paint the bull's eye around where the bullet hit."
Any bets that the tape CNN got is similarly edited?
I appreciate your point but its not entirely irrational to want to punish "the good guys". IMO the Pubbies, with control over the White House and Congress, have done precious little to advance conservative principles and challenge the Dems/liberal/media axis. That said, I'll still vote straight Republican again this year (albeit unenthusiastically) but I do harbor deep misgivings about the direction of our party and its "leadership".
Exactly, but I don't necessarily think he's a coward. He's too busy raking it in and basking in his own glow to consider petty things like bravery, cowardice, right, or wrong.
He's either doing it to make a name and, therefore, more money for himself - or - he's out to destroy the things we consider important - or - both. Probably both.
What he and his ilk don't consider is the long-term, unintended consequences of tearing down the nation that has always sustained them.
I normally praise those who find or create a market in order to realize success. But what Stewart does in blurring the lines is corrosive and wrong.
I hold the MSM in similar contempt.
Very rational, good.
