EL PASO, Texas -- Virginia Orwig stood in the kitchen, preparing homemade apple and cherry pies. With each turn of the crust, tears fell from her eyes.

Cooking is her therapy.

She was baking for her son, Border Patrol Agent Ignacio "Nacho" Ramos, and his family. It might be more than 10 years, even as many as 20, before she bakes for him again, and before the family reunites.

Ramos and his co-worker, Jose Alonso Compean, are to be sentenced Thursday for the nonfatal shooting of a Mexican national, Osbaldo Aldrete-Davila, who allegedly was trying to smuggle nearly $1 million in marijuana into the United States on Feb. 17, 2005, when he was shot.

EMAIL FROM RALLIER WHO CALLED JUDGE CARDONE

I just called the two judges' offices.

Below email one of our ralliers sent to President Bush:

Mr. President: It is OUTRAGEOUS that our Border Patrol agents Ramos & Compean are to be sentenced tomorrow for simply doing their jobs and in so doing shot an illegal drugrunner. Since when has it become a sin to BE AN AMERICAN who simply loves his country and doesn't want it to be overrun by illegals & especially ones who transport drugs over our borders??? SET THEM FREE!!! SIGNED

EMAIL and CALL President Bush 202.456.1111 president@whitehouse.gov

EMAILS from Ralliers who called on behalf of Agents Ramos and Compean

I just called. The lady said I could give her a short message which she would relay to the Judge, as she had another call waiting. I said that I could do that, and thanked her for being willing to relay it. She asked for my name, as I had already mentioned that I was calling from CA. I simply asked for a new trial and expressed my dismay that two agents who were doing their job should be facing 20 years while the drug smuggler gets to be free AND sue the US govt. for $5 mil SIGNED

Called all numbers you listed. All said, of course, they would pass on the info. The judges offices said they have received a large volome of calls on this issue. Didn't get through to Feinstein as her number was busy, busy, will try later. SIGNED

Emails from ralliers who called the two judges/congress members on behalf of Border Patrol Agents Ramos and Compean

Minuteman Rallier I called both judges - (they said) the message will be delivered, that's what I was told, They also said that a lot of calls have been received today SIGNED

Campaign Manager Robin, as you know I am EXTREMELY busy - however I still took the time to make the calls. It only took a total of 5 minutes!! And by the Congressman Jones' staff is GREAT!!!!! True Americans!! And he really appreciated the call!!! SIGNED

In light of new evidence that the Ramos/Compean jury's unanimous verdict was falsely manufactured I believe a postponement of sentencing would be in order to allow for a full investigation into these allegations SIGNED

I was. home from work for lunch, just was able to contact Judge Cardena's chambers where I spoke to her assistant, Julie who said she would relay my message to the judge. I told her that it was totally reprehensable - an American patriot who along with many other Patriotic organizations are trying to save this country from the unbeleivable things that are happening! 'It is not these borderpatrol men, but the judge herself who needs to be tried for treason! ' is what I told her. SIGNED

Done and forwarded. SIGNED

I spoke to judge, Dreier's guy, the congressman's staff guy and let them ALL HAVE IT - YELLED a few times!!! WE THE PEOPLE SIGNED

sentenced tomorrow, Thursday, October 19, 2006!

Interestingly enough, a Presidential Pardon would fit nicely with that date.

John and Ken are reporting on KFI Los Angeles that three of the jurors felt pressure to come up with a guilty verdict, and that they had been told by the foreman that they couldn't have a hung jury, and that they wouldn't ever be allowed to go home if they didn't change their vote to guilty.

If they really believed that they are dumber than a box of rocks, but the verdict should be thrown out for juror misconduct.

Why would President Bush pardon these agents?

He seems to be much more in league with the illegals and those who profit from them.

In fact, making the border patrol scared to take any action would seem to have a beneficial effect from that point of view.

(Tuesday, October 17, 2006) Today, U.S. Rep. Michael McCaul (TX), Chairman of the Committee on Homeland Security Subcommittee on Investigations, released a report on border violence in the Southwest. The report examines the alarming rise in the level of criminal cartel activity, including drug and human smuggling, along the Texas-Mexico border and its effects on Federal, State and local law enforcement agencies. The report also looks at what steps are being taken to counter the threat, and the significance of these issues pertaining to the overall security of the United States.

I want the supposed "u.s. Attorneys" office that prosucuted these guys gone, they are either subversive of american values or just plain idiots, by prosecuting these two due the wording of the law rather than it's intent, I strongly suspect it is both.

Barring that I want pitchforks on their front porch at dawn Friday.

You think Hillary would pardon them? Bush sure as hell won't. The Bush administration is the one that's prosecuting them.

Everything for illegals, because our contributors need the slave labor. Meanwhile, the drug dealer that assaulted the two BP agents is walking free, thanks to the Bush Administration, and he's not content with his freedom, his $5 mil payday or their blessing to resume his criminal career: his organization is threatening the families of the agents. From the article:

Threats from associates of Aldrete-Davila have left the Ramoses fearful for their children's safety. The El Paso Sheriff's Department has had deputies monitoring the Ramos home since the threats came by e-mail and phone.

You think Bush is going to pardon these guys? Bush jailed these guys. Bush saves his sympathy for Aldrete-Davila and the other criminal aliens that make up half of the FBI's wanted violent felons at any given moment.

Just doing the crimes that Americans won't do, I guess.

ear Agent Ramos,

I listened to your story this afternoon, and although
I was aware of your plight peripherally, it did not
hit home until you talked about having to explain the
unexplainable to your sons aged 13, 9 and 6. I also
have 3 sons aged 13, 9, and 6 in addition to two older
boys. As I tried to explain your story to my wife, I
broke down. Your story so moved me that I could not
contain my emotions as I tried to express the depths
of my disappointment and disgust at my government, and
those in charge of it.

Anyone with a brain, Mr. Ramos, knows that you are
innocent of any crime. When you explained how you had
no words to explain to a 9 year old why the government
you served, took the side of the enemy, the very
smugglers you are sworn to protect this country from,
in the middle of a war, no less, I share your
inexpressable pain. Every American who believes in
right and wrong that hears your story shares in your
pain, because at it's most fundamental level, this is
an attack on our ability to secure our borders and
protect our communities from those who cross the
border in search of a new victim instead of a better
life.

As the former State Leader of the Minuteman Civil
Defense Corps in California, I have seen the war on
the border, and I have seen up close the smugglers who
profit off the poor people and the poison they
traffic. I have also seen the professionalism of the
field agents of the United States Border Patrol, and I
have nothing but respect for you and all of your
fellow agents. After spending a year trying to shame
the government into doing it's job on the border, I
had to retire, and in the past few months here at
home, those same smugglers we saw at the border, the
kind of evil people who traffic in human misery, are
showing up in my hometown, bringing drugs, and guns,
and more illegal aliens along with them.

It is that kind of evil that you are being charged
with stopping. Instead of a trip to prison, Agent
Ramos, you should be given a trip to the White House
to receive a medal for your courage in the line of
fire. But since the President refuses to declare the
war we are fighting on the border a war, he does
nothing while you are being torn from your job, from
your family, from your community, from your young sons
just when they need you most.

The DHS leadership has failed you, the President has
failed you, the Congress has failed you, and now the
judicial system has failed you. It is time for every
American who values freedom to stand up and take
action. Agent Ramos, you are a front line soldier in
this 21st century war, and the American people support
what you are doing. It is time that "we the people"
stop talking and take action.

To everyone reading this letter, this is what we must
do:

1) Demand the President pardon these fine agents, and
furthermore award them the appropriate medals for
their courageous conduct in defense of our national
security.

2) Demand that the Federal prosecutor who brought this
case and her immediate superiors be fired, and
investigated for potential corruption.

There is no other explanation for bringing this case,
in my estimation, than that they had some interest
other than the American people at stake. Why else
would they side with the very people they should be
charging with a crime?

There is not much time before the election, after
which the politicians will go back to ignoring us.

I urge every American citizen who values freedom, and
values those on the front line defending it, to take
action. Write letters, hold a protest, call talk
radio shows, interrogate your elected officials about
what they plan to do to right this horrible wrong.

Show Agents Campean and Ramos that while our
government, elected officials, and our justice system
has failed them, we will not. In times past when the
future our this nation was in jeopardy, it was never
the elected officials or the government, per se, that
came to it's aid, it was the simple ordinary citizen,
who answered that call to action by President Kennedy
to become "citizens who are not only prepared to take
up arms, but citizens who regard the preservation of
freedom as a basic purpose of their daily life"

Now is the time to honor those who have stood on that
wall while we sleep, who have braved the cold, the
dark and the unknown danger, so that we might be safe
in our beds. It is time to give back a little of
yourself. Make it your duty on a daily basis to do
something more than donate or e-mail, stand up and
demand that this wrong be righted before these good
men are imprisoned.

Agent Ramos, I am praying for you and your family and
I personally will not rest until you have a full
pardon, and are re-united with your family.

Godspeed.

Tim Donnelly
Minuteman

This is not Bush's doing. It's ours. We elected him.
