I work in the Seattle Municipal Tower, right across the street from the Columbia Center and six blocks north of Quest Field (Seahawks). The Columbia Center was one of the original targets for 9/11, but was "bumped" because of lack of manpower. When that plane flew into the building in New York last week, Seattle was one of the cities where the military scrambled jets. So the authorities must think that Seattle is still a target.

The CC is totally exposed to the south, the Space Needle is totally exposed from every direction, and the ferry system on Puget Sound would make a spectacular target for terrorists. All they'd need to do would be to drive a van on board, laden with explosives, blow it up half way to Bremerton, and there'd be an inferno on the vehicle deck with spectacular footage for the evening news.

I just love that Americans are giving the finger to the terrorists and living their lives the best they can.

I have no doubt that the confidence we have now would be lost completely if the dems were in charge of our national security.

I just don't think chatting up the terrorists is a good plan!
