I'd vote for a Republican murderer over a so-called conservative leaning democrat. See, it all has to do with numbers. Higher numbers give the GOP a majority. Whereas, lower numbers will give us minority status. Got it?

It is that kind of deep thinking that is causing me to wonder what it is that we are supposed to be supporting. What do Republicans represent? I don't mean to be disagreeable but it seems to me that Rush is saying, at least today, that Republican and conservative goals are synonymous. I am not sure that Rush is any longer speaking from a conservative perspective.
