Unfortunately what the public hears is not straight from the mouth of Nancy Pelosi. They hear a media-filtered version that is specifically calibrated to be more palatable and mainstream. I understand the concept of letting a small fire burn up the fuel to prevent a larger one, but I worry that if the Dems take control now it will become a conflagration.

Most of the people pollsters manage to get ahold of in the first place are Democrats (the Republicans are at work), then they go ahead and skew the poll even further Democrat when analyzing the data. I wouldn't give credence to any of these sham surveys.

I hope he's right and has some tricks up his sleave but you have to take this with a grain of salt. Rove would give this answer even if the polls were 99-1 Dem. Its his job.
