I am in agreement that China will have to get into this.
China went into Viet Nam after we pulled out,Very little was said in the news,Had a hell of a fight..
Then all got quiet,,If China does that again in NK,That will solve one problem,,They better hurry ! Before it's too late for Wal-Mart...

I wouldn't be so sure their supply is limited, they do have some. whatever that means (there's more available from where it came from). The situation (lack of a strong US response) is not good. It can become good, but we need a strong response, I hate to say it, but the "John Kerry half of the country" are keeping us from handling the situation properly and authoritatvely.

Definitely.

The only way to deal with the Norks is by telling them we definitely have the bigger stick, and we will use it upside their head if they step one iota across the line.

Thats the old fashioned American way...and the right way.

Case in point:

The best they can do is a one kiloton low order nuclear explosion.

The best we can do is turn them into a giant smoking pit...in about 15 minutes time.

Its all a matter of context.

I'm up late, can't sleep here in Alaska. Waiting and watching for a bump in the night that isn't from a moose, a bear, or earthquake. LOL

TOKYO (AFP) - US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice arrived in Tokyo on the first stop of a four-nation tour to rally pressure on North Korea after it tested an atom bomb.

Rice said she would use her talks in Japan and South Korea to reconfirm their security alliances with the United States.

"The way to deal with the security threat it poses is to draw on the very strong alliances that we have with South Korea and Japan on which they can fully rely for their security from this specific threat," Rice told reporters on her plane.

Rice is due later to visit South Korea, China and Russia -- the other countries involved in stalled six-way talks on ending North Korea's nuclear program.

The top US diplomat, spearheading a drive to contain the Stalinist nation, is pushing a US-led stop-and-search programme designed to cut off any trade in illicit weaponry.

The diplo speak of "on which they can fully rely for their security from this specific threat" is very easily translated. The USA will respond to, and eliminate any hostile act. While interdicting DPRK commerce. Game on.

Howdy backatcha! It's 11:31 p.m. here now. I don't worry too much about the bears but I do keep an eye out for them. Also helps my confidence to have my trusty 12 ga. nearby at most times.

There's been some bear troubles lately near our cabin, but not at our place. A grizzly has been on a walk-a-bout, tipping over a generator, fuel tanks, a few coolers, garbage dumpsters, and even stealing a bag of clothes.....oh, and leaving footprints on some cabin windows. LOL They're looking for a snack before bedtime....bedtime=winter. ;)

Thanks for the latest, ARMSF. Hopefully this will all blow over....minus any radiation detections. sigh

I'm headin' to bed now. Don't let the world end without letting me know. ;)

lil' kim is giving his chess master (china) more reason to be proud of lil' kim (the pawn). Give it up china, America sees through your game...... and past your lil' (pawn) kim.

They have plenty and their reactors produce more every day. It doesn't take that much to produce a very small nuke, he has enough for 20-40. He is developing cores for fussion devices. The next one will probably be very small also, but sooner or later one will be very large, and Kim will have his H-bomb.

- the problem with a full naval blockade is that it is an act of war --

And thumbing your nose in the wrong direction is an act of war. Worry, worry worry. The problem with "the problem with" is that it is a loser's expression when spoken or when listened to.
