Katie is continuing to slide. This looks like a huge drop. How much longer can CBS News sit still for this?

Well, what did al-CBS expect? After all, they spent little or no money advertising the new nightly news with Katami Couric. No one knows she is there /sarcasm>

Delightful. When the Mrs and I want to watch American news on Sky News at 12:30 AM, we can look forward to someone replacing her.

Katie is continuing to slide. This looks like a huge drop. How much longer can CBS News sit still for this? Getting higher ratings for the CBS Evening News dinosaur was never the gaol. The goal was to injure the NBC Today Show by poaching her from it so as to decrease their ratings and increase the ratings of the rival CBS Early Show -- a much larger cash cow for CBS than the puny CBS Evening News which is a perpetual money loser. In that, they succeeded.

MSNBC fares better against Fox and CNN.

Being cute isn't enough to attract viewers.
Giving real unbiased news will work.
To: Cicero
I do believe that CBS will be the first of the major networks to rid themselves of their news division.
Really, Americans would be better served watching MacGyver re-runs, than the CBS "News". In fact, cowering in the basement huffing gasoline soaked rags would probably be preferable.

it was probably just a joke.

how can Katie be sliding in the ratings? Aren't women watching? Don't women watch TV to see another woman reading the news? Don't liberal women want to see a liberal woman there?
There must be a huge demographic out there not watching CBS.
