They burn Foley at the stake (rightfully so) for lurid e-mails, but with Studds its, a "consensual affair with a 17-year-old page?" Nausiating, truly nausiating.
Here's something I find interesting and puzzling about this whole sordid episode. Foley sent text messages to these kids just talking about doing things, whereas 'Rats like Studds and Frank actually did them. Foley gets run out of town on a rail for talking about things, but the 'Rats who actually did those things (and more) are lauded as heroes and kept in office and re-elected time and again. Naw, no double standards at all when it comes to the media dealing with those issues.
From what I've read, Studds diddled an underage male page after liquoring him up pretty good, so he's guilty of not only homosexual sex with a minor, but also providing and serving alcohol to a minor. So he gets censured by the House which supposedly means he can't serve as committee or subcommittee chairs, yet Nancy Pelosi (and others) vote for him as subcommittee chair, in direct violation of House rules.
Then you've got Barney Fwrank hiring a male prostitute to service him and the guy is operating a homosexual prostitution racket out of Frank's apartment, and Frank is going out fixing parking tickets for the scumbag. So they do a limp noodle reprimand of Frank and now he is one of the elder statesmen-heroes of the 'Rats in the House.
I tell you, every time a 'Rat brings up the Foley matter, a Republican should be there to throw Studds and Frank up in the ugly face of the 'Rat. At least Republicans get rid of their bad apples, where the 'Rats keep them around and embrace them and make them their heroes.
.....WITH AN ADULT!
