This accusation by Kline is just the most lame brain thing I've ever heard of. Even solid conservatives I know are breaking for Morrison.

Kline was always going to be a target in 2006 if for no other reason that his weak showing in 2002. He beat a completely unfunded, unknown, small county Democrat by about 4200 votes. But Morrison is his worst nightmare come true. Ex-Republican moderate, county prosecutor, and a boatload of money. Morrison will take Douglas County and Wyandotte County going away. All he needs is to take about 55% of the vote in Johnson County and he has the election sewn up. If these poll results are anywhere near accurate then it looks like he won't have a problem doing that.

The local talkers on the radio yesterday afternoon, both of which claim to be republican, were aghast over the out of nowhere mush thrown out from the press conference.

Morrison went on their show, but apparently the Kline camp said Kline was not available, so they had the local republican face on to back up the Kline claims.

I must say, (I live in MO, so the election does not affect my voting) it was one of those very strange head shaking times, wondering who decided to carry out this act of desperation. The result does not appear to have been worth the effort, cause whatever future political office Kline ever aspires to run for, this incident will stay with voters.
