That the world sits by impotent while this level of human misery is allowed to play out in North Korea, in Rhodesia, in Somalia, is unforgivable. Unforgivable. The United Nations is a cruel joke and now there is an even chance that Chavez will have a seat on the Security Council? This is insanity.

After all, the Terry Schiavo case showed us that starvation is peaceful and exhilarating. Great point. Dear Leader is simply ahead of his time in this regard. Besides, there's only so much UN inspired extortion money to go around. It's damned expensive to keep his liquor cabinet stocked and the gourmet food pantry filled. The average NORK should feel blessed to just waste away peacefully in a state of starvation induced bliss while grazing in the grass and clawing at the tree bark, rather than have to deal with the cruel complexities of really living it up the Lil' Kim way.

Ever notice how most NK soldiers' don't fit into their uniforms? I often wonder how long any of them could fight before dropping from exhaustion - or surrendering for some food.

If this is the state of his (Kim's) country, what exactly is he in charge of?

Imagine there's no Heaven
It's easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us only sky
Imagine all the people
Living for today
Imagine there's no countries
It isn't hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion too
Imagine all the people
Living life in peace
You may say that I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will be as one
Imagine no possessions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
A brotherhood of man
Imagine all the people
Sharing all the world
You may say that I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will live as one

This is the same story that I hear from Cuba. Just replace N. Korea with Cuba and Dim Ill with Castro...

More FYI:
I read a report several years ago (from GAO or some similar office) that welfare, food stamps and other Government assistance programs (US) were designed to give everyone in the system a minimum of 2,500 calories a day worth of foodstuffs (if the benefits were used properly). Yet people complained that this was not enough!
2,500 calories would probably keep the average Koran alive for a week, week after week and be a comfortable subsistence level.

What is even sadder, is that Diane Sawyer will come back from N. Korea with glowing reports....

Madeline dined. People died.
That what I'd like to see - a book like this describing the horrors contrasted with photo illustrations of Democrats hobnobbing with NK despots.
